Enrique Iglesias and Nadiyaa, Tired of being sorry... et encore, et encore, et encore...

Bon de Nadiyaa, je sais peu de choses, a part "Et c'est parti...", une vague idee de sport de haut niveau et une rumeur de bisou avec Zizou qui trainait dans les couloirs lorsque je faisais mes armes en tant que stagiaire attachee de presse a Paris (vous n'avez pas idee de tout ce qui vous tombe dans les oreilles dans les couloirs d'agences de comm' ou peut etre savez vous exactement!) Donc bien sur, comme toute ex parisienne ayant un tout petit peu de pretention culturelle, Nadiyaa, je ne connais pas, mais j'aime pas...

Enrique en revanche, si, le fils de Julio, le frere de Julio jr et de Maria Isabel, le petit Iglesias... Tout de suite vous rigolez, en voyant tout de suite Bailamos et compagnie... Mais Enrique, je l'ai decouvert il y a environ 10 ans, il avait 23 ans, chantait en espagnol et pendant de longs mois, je n'ai pas quitte cet album que ma tante m'avait ramene d'un voyage d'affaires a Madrid ou Barcelone...

D'Enrique Iglesias (euh, la je parle de l'album... faut dire qu'a ce moment, il n'avait surement pas d'attache de presse pour lui expliquer que l'album du nom de l'artiste, c'etait limite...) je me rappelle tres peu, juste que j'adorais ecouter ces chansons en espagnol et qu'il y etait question d'amour... mais vu le relent de sympathie que cet album a creer vis a vis du petit Iglesias, aujourd'hui, j'ai envie de le redecouvrir...

Alors demain, alors que je vais tres certainement passer 7 heures en voiture avec mon patron sur les routes anglaises, j'ai decide d'emporter avec moi cet album...

J'aurais bien voulu mettre un petit extrait pour vous donner un apercu, mais j'y arrive pas de mon ordinateur... et il est deja minuit...

Igår var en bra kväll. Jag, Adam och David bastade och lyssnade på musik. Men musiken var inte vilken musik som helst. Jag och Adam hade följande sms konversation:

A: Fixa en skiva som vi kan ha i bastun!

J: Ska det va känslosamt?

A: Vad som helst som går att snacka skit till.

J: Då blir det känslor.

A: Bra det!

Resultatet blev en skiva som döptes till "känslosamt bastumys del 1, tysta hjärtan"

Den innehöll ballader som Tommy Nilssons hit "Amelia", Westlifes tolkning av "The Rose", Mariah Careys "Hero" och på samma tema även Enrique Iglesias låt med samma namn. Den skivan i kombination med min mammas hembakade bullar, godis och dricka från Statoil, Jag, David och Adam blev receptet för en lyckad kväll.

Under kvällen behandlades ämnen som: Nyttig mat, kvinnor, internet, muskler, lägenheter, film, One tree hill och sjukhusbesök. Det var lite av varje skulle man kunna säga.

Sen avslutade vi allt med att se "Snakes on a plane" i Adams lägenhent. Bra grejer.

El concierto comenzó con los "Reyes de la Bachata" con sus éxitos Hermanita, Obsesión, El perdedor, Enséñame a olvidar, Noche de sexo y Mi corazoncito.

Mientras sus integrantes los hermanos Max, Lenny y Henry Santos tocaban sus instrumentos, su cantante Anthony "Romeo" Santos se paseaba por la tarima con sus movimientos sensuales ante la delicia de las espectadoras.

Aventura, que apareció en el ambiente artístico en 1998 en la ciudad de Nueva York, ha vendido tres millones de copias de sus seis álbumes y son ganadores de múltiples premios como los Billboards y Lo Nuestro.

La fórmula que les hizo alcanzar la fama es una mezcla de los géneros de la bachata y el R&B y rociado con letras en spanglish ya que los cuatro hermanos se criaron en Nueva York.

Tras la actuación del grupo dominicano apareció en escena el español Enrique Iglesias quien cantó acompañado del público los temas como Nunca te olvidaré, Lloro por ti, Experiencia Religiosa y Dímelo.

"Cantar en Miami es uno de mis lugares favoritos pues soy de aquí. Esta es mi casa y se siente muy lindo. Gracias por venir", dijo en inglés Iglesias quien vistió su inseparable gorra de pelotero gris y camisa y pantalón negro.

Iglesias se mudó a Miami en 1985 cuando tenía nueve años de edad a raíz del secuestro en España de su abuelo, el doctor Carlos Iglesias Puga.

Otros de los cortes que interpretó fue Donde estás corazón que se convirtió en su éxito número 18 y que se colocó el pasado mes de febrero en el puesto número uno de las canciones latinas más escuchadas del Billboard.

El mismo Enrique Iglesias escribió la letra de Donde estás corazón junto al cantautor argentino Coti Sorokin, quien ha compuesto canciones para Paulina Rubio y Julieta Venegas.

Iglesias ha vendido cerca de 50 millones de copias discográficas de sus nueve álbumes (sin contar las ventas de los discos sencillos) que tan solo en Estados Unidos se han vendido más de 10 millones copias, convirtiéndose así en uno de los artistas que más discos ha vendido en todo el mundo.

El artista español proyectó una gran energía en el escenario de Miami que fue decorado con varias pantallas que se posicionaron en distintos niveles para proyectar imágenes del cantante y del público que no dejó de vitorearlo y cantar sus canciones.

Tras su paso por Miami, Enrique Iglesias y Aventura continuarán su gira por el estado de la Florida donde el próximo 24 cantarán en Tampa y al día siguiente en Orlando.

Luego viajarán a Chicago y Boston y en octubre los ídolos de la bachata y el pop visitarán Uncasville (Connecticut), Fairfax (Virginia) y East Rutherford (Nueva Jersey).

So, I'm finally home after a very long and intentionally extended weekend. I am exhausted, way broke (well, sorta), shopped-out and regretting ever going home. If only I could wake up everyday and just look forward to a day of shopping. How to do this? Hmm... let me count the ways...

But what am I talking about? This entry isn't about that at all.

It's about the fact that I got to "meet" the hottest random person to date. My cousin Michelle and I christened him Adam (because he was a much hotter version of Adam Levine--if that's even possible!).

We were on our way to the airport, on board the Airport Express Shuttle when I spotted him walking out of the swanky Park Lane Hotel in his jeans and torn-sleeves plaid shirt (Adam, I tell ya!). He flashed me a muted grin when he hopped on the bus and sat down behind me on the opposite side. With his every move, he whiffed this absofreakinlutely fantastic smell that made my head spin over and over again.

But because I'm the biggest dork ever, I just smiled whenever we locked eyes and went back to writing my book (well, pathetically trying...) instead of talking to him like any flirty girl would probably do. And even after helping an old man off of him after an accident down the bus aisle, I still didn't have the guts to start a conversation. We just looked at each other and smiled then went back to our regular programing. When the bus finally dropped us off at the airport, he let me down first then followed me out the bus. After smiling at each other one last time, we parted ways--and we will most likely never see each other again. I swear, I wanted to shoot myself in the foot for all those wasted opportunities. It was like Ghirardelli Boy on the Frisco tram all over again! Ugh...

But God was good, so even after the catastrophic and pathetic bus ride, we spotted Mac Boy (who resembled Enrique Iglesias!)... and... Take Home Chef's Curtis Stone (we don't know if he's just a look-a-like or the actual chef himself) in the airport before flying back to Manila. And now I'm home and bummed out because there aren't any cute guys here... at all.

I can't wait for my next dose of good shopping and hot boys. HK is any girl's heaven, I tell ya!

Julio Senior blijft geven

De Spaanse zanger Julio Iglesias verkocht maar liefst 300 miljoen platen en zong in veertien talen. De sloeber heeft ook een reputatie als vrouwenverslinder en vond nog te tijd om 8 (!) kinderen te verwekken. Snoepje Enrique kent iedereen al, maar broer Julio Junior (35) trok serieus mijn aandacht. Naast de hele dag knap wezen en heet Latino model spelen (voor onder meer ondergoedmerk Soy) brengt hij ook af en toe en plaatje uit. De genen van papa (en de puppieoogjes) zitten zeker goed!

De bink bracht onlangs een Spaanstalige cover van Cyndi Lauper's Time after time uit. Por la mitad (doormidden) brengt het verhaal van een gebroken liefde. En het liedje werkt nog ook in 't Spaans!

Julio Jr. bracht eind jaren 90 ook een Engestalige uit. Maar eerlijk, we hebben hem liever in en Español! Hij heeft nogal de neiging om erg boyband-achtig te geraken in het Engels...

Je ne peux me permettre de passer sous silence la présence de la squelettique splendide Misha Barton qui encore une fois sait nous éblouir par le jeu recherché de ses froncements de sourcils. Elle était encore dans sa phase pré Goodbye my lover.

Mesdames, messieurs, régalez-vous, y’en a pour tout les goûts.

J’aimerais offrir une mention spécial au/à :

• Le chien de garde (sûrement le meilleur acteur de ce métrage)
• La colonne vertébrale de Misha qui ressort et se tortille d’une façon très peu élégante lors de la danse torride qu’elle offre au beau Enrique
• Le garde de prison chinois aux lunettes de prédateurs sexuels
• Le décor de la cellule, on s’y croit vraiment.

Je trouve que les clips d’Enrique abusent des scènes torrides avec des semi-célébrités (un cinquième de célébrité dans le cas d’Anna Kournikova). On veut de la nouveauté! Qu’on nous surprenne un peu là là…À bas les gros plans mal cadrés sur la face mal rasé d'Enrique. On peut aussi se passer de prise de vue rapprochées des frenchs dégoulinants.

Suis-je la seule à ne pas catcher le clip? C’est quoi la fille est dans l’armée et Enrique paranoïde qu’il va se faire enlever par des méchants communistes? Ou il a vraiment été emprisonné, mais, grâce aux connexions de Misha avec la CIA, il a été libéré? Au pire, qui commence une chansons avec ces paroles-là: Have I told you how good it feels to be me when I'm in you?

La véritable question que je dois me poser c’est : mais pourquoi je fais une entrée sur le sujet sur ce blog?

Momo, la butch qui bitch

I started watching the show "Heroes." My friend got the season 1 and 2 DVDs, and we went to town. When the show started I was skeptical. For starters, it was on at the same time as "24" and that's blasphemy. Jack Bauer shares a time slot with nobody.

But as time went on and "24" got, well, bad, I began to lose faith in the show. But I continued watching it and avoiding its NBC neighbor. Plus, there was no way I was gonna get started with "Heroes." When a friend told me to start watching it a while back, I was like, "I'm sure I want to waste an hour of my day once a week watching a short Japanese kid with nerdy glasses shrieking like a girl and squishing his face together like he's suffering from chronic constipation."

Anywho, I started watching the show on the day we had that tropical storm. In other words, we had a large chunk of indoor time because the pools of water would have carried us off to New Jersey if we went outdoors. And, well, 15 episodes later, I'm all about that short, shrieking, constipated Japanese guy. I say guy because Wikipedia says he was born in 1974, which runs directly counter to my thought that he was a 20 year old girl.

I'm also not positive the show isn't violating some X Men copyright law. It seems like every character shares an X Man character's power, though I haven't seen a Wolverine yet. But I'm only on episode 15. But the second I watched that blond girl purposely fall off a high platform and splatter on the ground, and then rewound it to watch it again, and again, I couldn't stop watching the show.

We all want to have superpowers, that's why the show is so popular. I'm pretty sure there's a Facebook application where you pick which superpower you would have. I'm not sure what I would want, but there's no question I would not want to be the guy that could hear everyone's thoughts. If I wanted to go insane, I'm sure there are more pleasant ways to do so.

The ability to bend time and travel into the past, present and future seems like it would be cool as well (power of said Japanese girl). But now that we have that Super Collider we'll all be able to do that soon anyway. If we don't all die first via black hole, of course.

I decided to use the picture above for this blog because I came across it today and I think it's quite pertinent to this conversation. Well, it's not. It's not at all. But it's hilarious. I think my ability would be to talk to animals, though. I've always been an animal person, and I suppose that would allow me to hang out with lions and bears like Tarzan does or something. Also, I would become of the protector of animals. Like this guy, here. He may look happy, but he's pissed. And do you blame him? Look at him! Let's just say if he could talk to me, he would have some not nice words to say about his owner. I would avenge him. I would be his hero.

Note: Ever since I started watching Heroes, I haven't been able to get that freaking Enrique Iglesias song out of my head. Oh yeah, you know what I'm talking about.
