Here are some things I've learned in the process:

1. Have the phone you order online sent to your work address, because even though the order form doesn't tell you this when you put in the shipping address, FedEx will demand a signature AT YOUR DOOR.
2. FedEx drivers are very nice. At the first failed attempt the driver put his own cell number on the sticky note and when I called to ask about the second delivery, he agreed to put the package on a different driver's truck so it *could* be delivered to work. This is after FedEx phone agents said they couldn't re-route the box and that Tracfone had to do it. Tracfone had said that they couldn't re-route anything after it had left the warehouse.
3. To get a real manual that has actual useful information, go to the manufacturer's website and download one from there. The thing that comes with the phone is virtually useless.
4. The Tracfone website menu that is supposed to allow you to transfer your existing number to your new phone is broken. It kept saying that I needed to put in 5 digits for the zip code. I had.
5. If you want to transfer an existing number to a Tracfone, DO NOT try to do it through the automated phone menu. The automated phone menu will cheerfully guide you through all the steps to activating the phone. WITH A TOTALLY NEW NUMBER. Instead, you should press the button for technical support, and have them talk you through it. (Who knew?)
6. Once your SIM card has been activated, you can't change the number on it. They have to mail you a new SIM card and you have to start all over.
7. It takes at least a couple of days to receive a new SIM card via DHL.
8. DHL is very nice. They are willing to leave packages between your screen door and front door, even if you aren't home to sign for it.
9. It takes about 5 minutes to get a new SIM activated with the old cell number, if you requested the "port" of it over 2 days ago.
10. You can get up to 200 extra minutes if you use the bonus codes listed at fatwallet.com.
11. When you add the airtime card is the point where you see the extra 100 minutes for switching from another provider. So in total I got 300 extra minutes.
12. To find out the email address of your new phone, send an email to your computer. There are two ways to do this: 1) text only "sms" 2) text and photos "mms"
13. Both of the messages from the phone to the computer arrive quickly. They have different addresses: 1) XXXXXXXXXX@txt.att.net and 2) XXXXXXXXXX@mms.att.net (where XXXXXXXXXX is your cell number)
14. If you reply to each of the above addresses from the computer to the phone, they take different times to arrive. The txt.att.net message arrived almost instantaneously. The mms.att.net message had a 640x480 picture attached and took 58 hours for the phone to notify me of its existence. It only took about a minute to actually download.
15. If you "save content" on the mms message, you can use the attached picture as your wallpaper. This is apparently the only way to transfer photos and other content to your phone, since the USB and bluetooth connecters are apparently for charging and headset purposes, respectively.

Overall, it's been quite an education. I'm getting too old for this sort of thing.

As you know, here at TV Crawlspace we consider snacks to be a necessary ingredient in the TV watching experience. After sampling a pack of M&M's the other night I thought I spotted a typo on the wrapper. What seemed to be the problem was the apostrophe between the second M and the s. Was it possible that the package designers fell prey to the old pitfall of using an inappropriate apostrophe before the ‘s' in a plural noun? My inner punctuation zealot jumped for joy at this thought. "The inclusion of the apostrophe implies ownership," I proudly proclaimed. "In order for it to be valid, the word M&M's would have to be followed with a second noun." That's when I noticed the tiny words at the bottom of the logo, "Chocolate Candies". There they were. Two little words that meant so much. All was right on my candy wrapper.

This question of who owns the candies prompted me to do a little internet research. It turns out that M&M's were named after the first owners of the candy's patent, Forrest Mars Sr. and R. Bruce Murrie, who purchased the rights in 1929. The full name of the product, hypothetically, would read "Mars and Murrie's Chocolate Candies". Mr. Mars went on to amass a personal fortune of four billion dollars from the sale his little colorful creations. Kind of adds new meaning to the phrase "living the sweet life".

After solving that mystery, something else caught my attention. Standing over on the right side of the wrapper was the jaded looking spokescandy known to M&M-o-philes as Red. Like a carnival booth attendant, he pointed a solicitous finger and seemed to urge passersby to partake in the contents of the little brown package. I tried to imagine what he might be saying:

"What's the matter kid, life got you down? I got just the thing you need. Nothing like a sugar fix to make you forget about your problems. For a while at least. Then you'll be back for more. Old man Mars got filthy rich off of desperate little kids like you. So what's got you down, exactly? Let me take a guess. Your playstation game doesn't work anymore? Your Barbie doll lost an arm? That's nothin'. I hate to break it to ya, but it's all downhill from here. You got twelve years of school to look forward to, and each grade is tougher than the last one. Then you work a crap job until you're old and gray. That's the game of life, and if you don't play you end up dead in the gutter with the rats and the junkies. Take it from Red, the biggest thrill in your life will be these little chocolate candies here. Eat all you want, we got a whole warehouse full. These things won't melt in your hand like that other cheap sh**."

Just then I imagined a large shoe coming down on our affable spokescandy, crushing him into the sidewalk. That's the way it goes in the school of hard knocks.

Dunque, il Moige, nota associazione dei genitori di stampo bigotto/cattolico/omofobico/allarmista insieme alla polizia postale (tra un oscuramento di un blog e un sito, solo perché fa incendiare la coda di paglia di certi personaggi), hanno lanciato un nuovo allarme sociale che farà incetta di "angeli assessuati" detti anche bambini (fino a 17 anni, 12 mesi 364 giorni).

Ovvero, predatori senza scrupoli (possibilmente Orchi usciti dal gioco Word of Warcraft) invitano poveri ed ignari "angeli assesuati" a fare foto osè in cambio di preziosi pezzi di plastica con un codice che ti dona un quantitativo in denaro per il propio Telefonino Cellulare!

Non ha caso prepareranno uno spot con lo slogan: "Dite ai vostri figli di non accettare SMS dagli sconosciuti", perchè come ben sapete gli Orchi, con l'aiuto dell'orda detta anche Internazionale della pedofilia S.P.A. , riesce ad intercettare i numeri dei cellulari degli "angeli assessuati" nonostante che i numeri di quest'ultimi siano intestati a maggiorenni, per inviare degli inviti con messaggi subbliminali che inducono gli "angeli assessuati" ha fare delle pedopornografissime foto osè! Dopo questo atto si materializzerà la scheda per ricaricare il credito telefonico! Una cosa incredibile!!!

Parliamo seriamente che è meglio!
Questa azione ha contorni deliranti, perchè si pensa subito che ci sia qualcuno che risce a mandare SMS ha un minore a caso (di quale età poi ?) per adescarlo, per avere "foto osè" in cambio di una ricarica ecc ecc... Insomma, forse non sanno che in molti casi succede l'opposto, ovvero sono certi ragazzini che rompono i maroni ad un maggiorenne di farli una ricarica in cambio di qualche foto senza veli, ma no! Ovviamente loro che sono degli "ingenui angeli assessuati" non sono ingrado di concepire una cosa simile..si, si...avete ragione!

Il Capo della polizia postale (l'ente che oscura siti e blog quando qualcuno si mette a frignare) ha detto:

"prima il telefonino serviva solo a comunicare, ora i nuovi cellulari sono delle vere e proprie stazioni Internet viaggianti, in grado di inviare video e fotografie".

C'erto! I cellulari sono delle stazioni internet viaggianti, molto economici con le tariffe dati vendute a peso d'oro. Ma se lo dice il capo della polizia postale, c'è da credici, insomma lui combatte contro gli orchi, quindi non può mentire, acciderbolina!

Ma continua:

"Negli ultimi anni la PolPost ha arrestato e denunciato molti pedofili che contattavano telefonicamente, attraverso SMS, ragazzi e ragazze minorenni, ai quali chiedevano immagini pornografiche in cambio di ricariche telefoniche, tentando, in alcuni casi, di incontrare i giovani fuori dalla loro abitazioni".

Come ho detto sopra, spesso accade il contrario, ovvero che sono Ragazzine, grazie ad una educazione assente dei genitori, che propongono foto osè in cambio di una ricarica telefonica, quindi le ragazzine che fanno cosi, sono pedofile di loro stesse, perchè diffondono materiale pedopornografico, stando alla legge :)
Ma poi se io ricevo eventualmente queste pressioni, ma respingo la ragazzina, ma lei mi denucia per violenza sessuale accusandomi di essere un pedofilo, sarei fregato ?

Mentre invece Barbara Saltamartini (nel senso che in famiglia da generazioni, saltano usando come ostacolo delle bottiglie del martini ?), capo gruppo del Partito dei Luridi, vuole mettere un nuovo reato: L'ADESCAMENTO TELEMATICO!! Che a grandi linea, se tu riesci ad avere fiducia di un "minore" vuol dire che lo stai manipolando per averne il massimo controllo, c'erto perchè è noto che uno solo perchè è minore vuol dire che sia pure minorato mentale, ecc...

Ovviamente c'è pure un "bel" comunicato stampa del Moige, che tra l'altro da una lettura veloce ho già notato due castronerie:

1. L'ipod e un lettore mp3 sono la stessa cosa.
2. 16 anni non è = Bambino.

Che dire, altra legge nebulosa in materia in arrivo ? Temo propio di si...

Da notare che la Morandi, aveva copia incollato tale notizia ieri sera, come arma per la sua demente campagna contro Azzurra.org :)

Det enda jag behöver är en fungerande telefon som man kan ringa ifrån och skicka sms. Den gamla telefonen får jag starta om ett par gånger i timmen. Inta alls kul.

Som tur är så ska det vara någon slags utförsäljning hos en av butikerna här i staden. Ja, alltså i en av butikerna som säljer tv, video, dvd, mobiltelefoner m.m.

Så imorgon kommer jag hänga på låset som en pensionär och hoppas på ett fynd.

While I was unable to design the flags completely out of M&Ms, the candy has and does make black and white candies; just on special occasions. I wanted to show the relationship between an internationally known candy and perhaps beloved candy in connection with an event that brings countries together... if only for two weeks. (This is perhaps a better advertising ploy more than anything.)

I figure, why wait until the holiday season to put up a Christmas tree and string lights up to be able to enjoy them. Put them on whatever is available. In my case, it was the bottom of a chair; the perfect place to be able to lay down and look up.

I took it as a challenge when we were told that toys have to be used well in a photo in order for them to work. I have always loved this fountain and have wanted to take a photo of it, but never knew how or to make it unique enough... I guess I figured it out. I like how I positioned them around a "bend" in the "stream" and the "waterfall" in the background is still visible.

MMS = Multimedia Message Service.

En gros, c'est de l'e-mail pour téléphone. Le MMS s'est démocratisé et répandu à l'avènement des téléphones portables disposant d'un appareil photo (si on peut appeler ça comme ça). Le MMS est l'évolution directe du SMS qui ne permet que l'envoi d'un bout de texte.

Ceci étant dit, je constate que la communauté mondiale, et surtout toi, râlez car le dernier né d'Apple, l'iPhone 3G pour ne pas le nommer, venu au monde le 11 juillet 2008, pesant 133g environ, mesurant 115mm de haut... Hé bien ce bébé n'a pas cette fonction MMS ! Dramatique...?

Pas tant que cela. Réfléchis deux minutes.

L'iPhone, contrairement aux 99% des portables disponibles en Europe actuellement (chiffre sûrement faux mais je m'en fous), dispose d'une antenne wi-fi. Permettant de surfer sur le ouèbe sans passer par le réseau mobile de ton opérateur. Il permet donc d'envoyer des e-mails rapidement, quelle que soit leur taille en Ko ou Mo. En tout cas, il le fera plus rapidement que les autres téléphones portables se connectant au réseau mobile, pour autant que la connexion soit rapide.

De plus, qui utilise l'e-mail ? Tout le monde. Toute personne qui possède un ordinateur et une connexion à Internet envoie et reçoit régulièrement des e-mails. Mais qui envoie et reçoit régulièrement des MMS sur son portable ? Presque personne. Pourtant, tout le monde a une téléphone portable, non ?

Voilà le hic. Tu râles car une fonction que tu n'utilises presque jamais mais qui, EVENTUELLEMENT, PARFOIS, PEUT-ÊTRE, pourrait t'être "utile". Ça fait beaucoup de suppositions pour rien du tout, tu ne crois pas ?

Tu as l'e-mail à portée de doigt avec l'iPhone (3G ou non). L'e-mail est beaucoup plus standardisé, répandu et utilisé à travers le monde que le MMS. Et en plus, il arrive souvent que tu doives aller regarder tes MMS sur le portail de ton opérateur car ton téléphone portable n'a pas réussi à le récupérer ou à l'afficher correctement, que l'envoi échoue, que le récipiendaire du MMS risque fort d'avoir des problèmes à le lire dus à un souci de compatibilité, etc.

Bref. Je peux comprendre que pour le prix que tu paies l'iPhone, tu peux t'attendre à avoir dans les mains un "téléphone portable" qui propose toutes les fonctions actuelles. Mais qui utilisera le MMS dans quelques années ?

Apple anticipe ici l'évolution du marché et surtout l'évolution des mœurs dans l'utilisation des téléphones portables. Le MMS était utile quand on n'avait pas l'e-mail dans notre poche. Maintenant que c'est chose faite, à quoi sert encore le MMS ?

A rien. Strictement rien. Mais tu râles toujours. C'est normal. N'arrêtes surtout pas. Ça fera peut-être avancer le Schmilblick.

I didn't originally intend to put Wendy Whoppers in here, but what the hell, I'm not being paid either way for these reviews so I might as well create more hits with her tits. As a bonus, I'll spare you any jokes about wanting to spray her whoppers with malted milk from my balls. DOUBLE WIN!

These Chocolate Skittles really do taste like what they're supposed to taste, yet I discommend them for myriad reasons:

* The soft-crunchy/firm-chewy texture doesn't work for chocolate.

* A handful of different-flavored regular Skittles eaten at once blend together, creating a synergistic singular fruit flavor never intended by Ma Nature. But sorting vanilla/brownie batter/chocolate caramel/chocolate pudding/s'mores is too much to ask of any taste bud.

* The Skittles brand and rainbow don't go with chocolate, just like there should never be fruit-flavored m&m's. The makers were too lazy to make up a new product name? How 'bout...

(No, I didn't make this awesome p-shop. I think you can even buy "Shittles" as a t-shirt).

I bought Chocolate Skittles 2-for-1 at a dollar store, so I guess they're already on their way out. FAIL.

I like Peanut m&m's enough to ignore their numbfuck characters and dumber commercials but this cheating box is a sodomite's dream.

Normally m&m's come packed to the hilt so they RATTLE in the box. Not these bastards in their silent F-U-in-the-A mini-bag. 3.4 ounces is so little candy an anorexic could eat them all and not bother puking. That yellow son-of-a-bitch on the box giving the thumbs up should be wearing a strap-on.

We get enough shit from all sides these days we shouldn't have to watch our backs when we buy candy. FAIL.

Recibí la tarjeta al poco rato de escribir la anterior entrada sobre esta compañia (la pedí el jueves por la tarde/noche y me la trajero en sábado por la mañana, rápidos si que son), y el resto del día fue haciéndose poco a poco a la vida (no cogía cobertura, tardaba mucho en llamar, sin contestador...) pero a partir del domingo como la seda:

• Cobertura: no me he movido de casa pero como utiliza la red Orange supongo que bien, ya os diré cuando me vaya de viaje.
• Llamadas: sin problema, se escuchan bien, recibo y llamo sin problemas.
• SMS: todo correcto, a 9 céntimos, buen precio (aunque me siguen pareciendo caros para lo que son).
• MMS: aquí fallan, todavía no puedo enviar ni recibir, me he intentado poner en contacto con atención al cliente y me dicen que hay algún problema... vamos a darles un voto de confianza y ya veremos dentro de unos días, total no los necesito para nada.
• Datos: muy muy pero que muy bien, he navegado por webs con rapidez (3G) y lo que más me ha gustado, he escuchado emisoras de radio online (de esas que hacen streaming) y ni un corte ni nada. La verdad es que las tarifas están bastante bien, si no gastas más de 500MB al mes te cobran como máximo 5€, haciendo un uso normal de un móvil no creo que sea muy fácil superarlos, y yo no voy a tener problema porque con el nuevo móvil que quiero tener, no podré correr mucho porque no tiene 3G, se queda en gprs, así que, no problem.

Con Simyo te lo gestionas todo (o casi todo, todavía están empezando) vía web, por internet, y está muy bien porque tienes gráficos con tu consumo, número que llamas... vamos muy cuidado (ni comparación con Vomistar que además de ser sólo compatible con IE, el 90% del tiempo está con fallos, o mejoras como dicen ellos, desesperante).

Resumiendo, excepto por el problemilla de los mms, si todo sigue así (o mejora, claro), para pilares pido la portabilidad.

Questo worm si installa su molti modelli di cellulare con OS Symbian(Recentemente ho trovato il worm all'interno del Nokia 6630 di un mio amico).

Il Worm si propaga attraverso due mezzi potenti: MMS e Bluetooth,vediamo come:

Il primo metodo si avvale della rubrica telefonica, cioè invia ogni 30 secondi un MMS con una copia autoinstallante del virus in formato jar o sis.

Il messaggio che invia cambia di volta in volta modificando il messaggio,l'oggetto e ovviamente il destinatario mettendo l'allegato malevolo.

ecco quì alcuni esempi di messaggio che vi possono arrivare,state allerta:

Cmq potete sempre vedere il dettaglio del file. il file se chiamato commw.sis è proprio il nostro worm.

Per il secondo metodo invece la cosa è fatta meglio; il worm scansiona una zona cercandoa apparecchi bluetooth, se li trova si copia e sicerca di mandare; sfrutta un bug dei vecchi OS installati su alcuni cellulari per installarsi senza autorizzazione,invece se trova un OS un pò + moderno chiede l'autorizzazione(ovviamente se accettato si autoinstalla),il worm ad ogni avvio cambia il nome del programma in maniera casuale,in questo modo evita il riconoscimento da parte di qualche persona sprovveduta.

L'obbiettivo iniziale del worm era quello di spammare un sito pornografico(ora chiuso), il worm ad ogni avvio del cellulare si autoavvia nascondendosi.

Il worm alla prima ora del 14 giorno del mese resetta il cellulare infettato cancellando tutto (ovviamente tranne il worm stesso :P )

Per togliere il worm vi basta scaricare l'antivirus da questo link http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/SymcMTRT.sis

Questo programma una volta importato nel cellulare vi consentirà di fare una scansione all'interno di esso eliminando la maggior parte dei pericoli.

Questo programma non è un antivirus quindi non vi avviserà se state scaricando qualcosa di pericoloso ma vi pulirà il sistema in qualsiasi momento lo vogliate;per avviare il tool vi basta andare in menu->Removal Tool e selezionate la voce "Scansione Completa", dopo premete di si (il messaggio che compare crea un file di LOG io consiglio di premere si, ma niente vi impedisce di premere no) aspettate che finisca, una volta completato spegnete il cellulare e riaccendetelo rifacendo un altra scansione per essere sicuri di aver rimosso tutto.

Se invece volete rimuoverlo manualmente vi basta cancellare questi file:

1. Installare  un programma per la gestione dei file del telefono.
2. Abilitare l'opzione per vedere i file e le cartelle di sistema.
3. Cercare i drive, attraverso Y, nella directory \system\apps\commwarrior
4. Cancellare I file commwarrior.exe e commrec.mdl
5. Andare nella directory \system\updates\commwarrior
6. Cancellare I file commwarrior.exe, commrec.mdl, e commw.sis
7. Andare alla directory \system\recogs
8. Cancellare il file commrec.mdl
